Their bewildering appearance is kept up in their new blocky form and they fit in well with the pixelated reef that they call home.

Their precarious conservation status (in some parts of the world) has led them to being in dire need for support, leading admirers to band together to help in increasing their numbers through managed breeding programs and securing them safer places to thrive through reef protection and rejuvenation programs, as well as ocean waste management programs to help reduce the amount of human wastage that threatens their livelihoods.
Green Sea Turtles may be their most common name, but they can also be identified as the Green Turtles, the Black Sea Turtles and the Pacific Green Turtles, with their scientific name being Chelonia mydas. The Green Sea Turtle is one of the seven known species of sea turtles that can be found on Earth. Six of the seven can be found in and around our home country, Australia — with the only one not found around here being the Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle (Lepidochelys kempii).
